5th Annual OneRun

The 5th annual District-wide OneRun fundraiser will be held at Water Works Park on September 21st, 2024, with check-in between 8:00-8:45 a.m. The event will be a 2-mile fun run/walk with an option to cheer on the sidelines as a supporter! Registration is free for everyone; participation is what will count.

Event fees will be paid by corporate and individual sponsors. Once participation totals are tallied, the money raised will be sent directly to the schools. Each participant may designate one school. The more participants and donations, the more money to the schools!

DMPS Foundation Dinner

The Des Moines Public Schools Foundation Board and Des Moines School Board hosted the first annual DMPS Foundation Dinner on Thursday, November 2nd.

The evening event included toasts to our school district, a warm welcome for our new DMPS superintendent, Dr. Ian Roberts, and, most importantly, the opportunity to raise much needed financial support for the students of Des Moines Public Schools.

The need for private support for our public schools has never been greater. Des Moines is proud to have a rich 100-year legacy of providing high quality, community-based education to the students in our capital city. Join us in uplifting and continuing our tradition of educational opportunity and excellence for all children in Des Moines.
